I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, I have worked in IT for almost 20 years and have an appetite to learn and better my knowledge, understanding and skills to be able to bring those skills and experiences to my next job. 

I currently work for Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Trust as a Senior ICT Support Technician and Service Transition Manager working with a small team supporting over 4000 staff with a variety of ICT issues. Within the Trust I have been involved with large scale projects which included the replacement and upgrade of over 1500 PC's and laptops, over 2000 mobile devices and 300 VoIP phones.

During my time at BSMHFT I have also helped provide on-site, over the phone and remote desktop technical support and training to both staff and team members alike on software and hardware related queries and in less than 5 years I have progressed through the organisation from a Band 1 IT Technician to the manger of the Service Transition team which shows my drive to succeed and the belief in my abilities from my colleagues.

Senior ICT Support Technician and Service Transition Manager

I work in the ICT Service Delivery department of the Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Trust part of the NHS supporting over 4000 users. My role includes:

2nd line technical support to staff members either by phone, email, in person or through remote desktop in a Windows 7 and 10 environment.

Provide technical support to 1st line support team and 2nd line field engineers.

Repair damaged and faulty PCs and Laptops.

Cover 1st line and 2nd line team leaders and Service Delivery Manager when necessary.

Use Microsoft Service Manager (SCSM) call logging system to log, update, close and assign calls to field engineers.

Create installation packages for software which will be distributed using SCCM.

Utilize SCCM for pushing out software, general computer maintenance and deployment reports.

Create views, templates and tasks in SCSM and runbooks in Orchestrator to assist all Trust ICT teams with their day to day work and work with those teams to develop SCSM to help improve the service they provide.

Maintain accurate asset register of hardware and software using SCSM.

Administration of Active Directory, McAfee and Sophos Anti-Virus and UTM, Microsoft System Centre and Configuration Manager and Backup Systems.

Administration of in-house web based systems.

Provide VoIP, analogue, mobile and payphone technical support.

Maintain an up-to-date detailed knowledge database of hardware and software within the Trust.

Provide SCSM reports for ICT Managers and Trust Executives using Excel, SQL and PowerBI.

Manage a team of 6 who look after the Trusts AD & NHS Mail accounts, purchasing, equipment moves and requests for systems and infrastructure changes.

I worked in the projects department of the Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Trust part of the NHS supporting over 4000 users. My role included:

PC Replacement:
• Survey sites both physically and by using software available to plan and issue work to team members.

• Receive deliveries of PC's and laptops, catalogue equipment, install Trust wide image, join to domain and install any additionally software required..

• Ensure all HDD's are encrypted with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator before deploying..

• Replace PC's and laptops in accordance with Trust procedures..

• Administer Active Directory by moving computers to correct OU and deleting replaced units..

• Work with 3rd line support to test new Trust Images and new devices for bugs and find solutions.

VoIP Phones.}
• Survey sites and collate list of phone numbers and placement of phones within the site..

• Set up VoIP phones and configure using Siemens Deployment Server and OpenScape Voice (8K) facilities.Deploy phones and provide staff with any required training.

Previous Projects - Blackberry's.

• Use the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) to push out user profiles to BB devices..

Marian Call Music

Marian Call is an independent singer-songwriter from Alaska, US. When Marian announced she was looking to plan her first ever European Tour I offered to help in any way I could. My role includes: .

• Help promote Marian through word of mouth and Social Media.

• Contact Independent music review sites and online magazines for possible features and/or reviews of Marian's albums.

• Press releases to be sent to UK newspapers promoting the October 2012 European Tour.

• Collate list of UK music venues, book stores, comic book stores and coffee shops that offer live entertainment.

• Collate list of accommodation and provide costs.

• Plan public transport travel itinerary for the England leg of the tour and arrange passes and travel cards.

• Design posters, web banners, Facebook cover photos and Twitter backgrounds for tour promotion.

• Contact music sites, online music magazines, geek culture websites and newspapers for various advertisement opportunities to promote Marian's European Tour.

Earlswood GLC are a large UK Landscape and Retail Garden Centre based in Earlswood, West Midlands. . At Earlswood GLC I had 3 primary roles: Maintain and future proof all IT aspects of the company; Assist the Marketing Manager in creating marketing material and updating the website; Update the SAGE and PayPort EPOS systems with new products, price changes and offers.

My role included: .

Greets Green Community Enterprise (GGCE) presently operates community centres, community meeting rooms, managed workspaces, fully equiped IT suites for hire and serviced office accommodation. They also operate after school and school holiday child care facilities, PC Recycling (including the sale of second user machines to charities), IT support and training. My role included: .

• Think of and present ideas to improve the In-House system.

• Create and issue Packaging Specifications, organize packaging for new projects and design specialized packing cells if needed.

• Use I-DEAS, Rhino, Forming Suite, AutoVue and TransMagic to create, translate and blank CAD and gather information ready for quoting.

• Enter a material breakdown of the parts onto the International Material Database System.
